Mixed Martial Arts

Learn Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) the right way! Mixed martial arts is a combat sport that combines the various martial arts styles and disciplines including traditional Karate, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Boxing, Judo, Wrestling, and Brazillian JiuJitSu to name a few.

The revolution of MMA exploded into the mega sport it is today through professional exposure including the UFC, Pride, and K-1. MMA will continue to evolve and expand as athletes and fighters become more knowledgeable, better trained, and more experienced in mastering multiple martial arts styles.

We are certified experts and experienced under many martial arts styles and proven systems of know-how.  Our Level 1, 2, and 3 includes all basic to advanced techniques that are proven to be the most effective as a means of self-defense in the street, or in the cage. Whether you’re a professional or amateur, our levels 1 to 3 is a pre-requisite for all.

Each level implements 3 parts: Striking (standup punches and kicks), Takedowns (pummeling, clinch, sweeps, throws), and Grappling (submission wrestling, jiujitsu, “ground & pound”). Levels 2 and 3 implement more advanced techniques and conditioning in all areas, cage/ring management, fighting strategies, and more for the fighter or athelete that wants to push themselves to the next level of training including competition. However, our methods are taught in a safe, student friendly, and positive learning environment.

We enforce traditional martial arts values such as discipline and respect for oneself and others. Whether you’re 20 years old or 40 years old, someone just looking to learn for fun and get a great workout, or even if you’re a professional fighter, get a great body conditioning workout, learn all the basic techniques properly, and have a lot of fun! Become a proud member of our MMA family.

Once students complete the Level 1 course, they may qualify at their option for advanced Level courses.

“I should have done this sooner! As a 36-year old runner, I thought I was in pretty good shape, but after signing up for MMA at DP Martial Arts Academy, my fitness has been rocketed to a whole new level. I’ve logged thousands of miles in training and ran three marathons, but nothing compares to the cardio and core workout you get from boxing and grappling. After a few months of MMA, my running times improved, and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in.”
